I’ve decided to take on a new role and gain experience in a new area for me. I’m going to be the R&D manager for an initiative we announced last December that’s growing at a rapid pace. Its a great opportunity to shape something still in its infancy and get more direct hands on strategy experience in an area currently riding the crest of the hype cycle.
We’re looking at the explosion of container based software delivery and the opportunities this is presenting for enterprise software. How can organisations take advantage of this transformation to become more agile and cost effective? What technologies does HPE need to offer its customers to enable them to take advantage of this? We’re going to answer these questions and more.
We’re starting by looking at a number of areas, the Linux kernel, the Docker container engine, and the tools that need to surround these to be effective.
